Diabetes mellitus type 2 or can be known with diabetes mellitus secondary cases occurs because of interference with the seksresi basal insulin sensitivity and also a decline in tissue, especially liver tissue to insulin. Symptoms often occur usually are frequent urination and thirst as a result of polyuria. then also occur hyperglycemia that can be ascertained by the laboratory examination. And can also be complications of cardiovascular disease.
Diabetes mellitus secondary can be distinguished in 3 categories:
- Diabetes mellitus type 2
- Usually occurs due to aging, obesity and lifestyle
- Gestational diabetes mellitus
- It usually occurs in pregnancy
- Diabetes mellitus secondary or specific types of diabetes mellitus
Usually occur because of several factors, among others, genetic syndromes, medication factors, liver disease and others
Then the pattern of therapy that can be applied to overcome this type 2 diabetes mellitus there are several steps:
- With changing lifestyles
- With oral diabetes medications, if the first way is not successful. and its use can be in combination of 2 kinds or more oral diabetes medications
- With the combination of oral diabetes medications and insulin if it means no. 2 does not show results
- If the step no. 3 does not work as well, then who used only insulin alone. Insulin can be used singly or combination of 2 insulin
